On this page we present the history and future of our amazing tool.
The roadmap starts with the historical adjustments and ends with things that are on our mind to be created in a while.
Launch

Version 1 of Easy Tabular is released for internal use on a variety of projects where Azure SQL Server and Synapse are involved.
Rollout as service to first customers
- July 2023
Companies who are not direct customers of the owners of EasyTabular are requesting for the use of the technology of EasyTabular as a service.
Format strings
- September 2023
Format strings are introduced to make it very easy to show measures in certain way, without touching the underlying data.
Formatstrings are able to do lot of things, but can get complex as well.
That's why it is possible to use custom format strings in Easy Tabular with recognizable names.
Roles
- November 2023
With the introducation of determining roles in a separate configuration file we start enabling easy use of roles.
To add users to a role, just define them and set a role on a table or a column with prohibited or permitted options to enable or disable access to specific parts of the model.
Derived models
- January 2024
Derived models makes it possible to get rid of the job of creating and maintaining multiple versions of your Tabular for multiple reasons.
Partitions
- April 2024
With partitions you can only refresh recently changed events. So no need to refresh all historical orders but just reprocessing the orders off the last limited timeperiod. This provides a huge win on the processingtime
